Liturgical Websites

The Scottish Churches Organist Training Scheme was set up in 1997 to help church organists of all denominations attain and improve skills and confidence. It is especially useful to pianists who have been persuaded to accompany services because no one else is available.

The Royal School of Church Music (RSCM) is an ecumenical body established 75 years ago. It runs local and national courses, the aims of which are to promote the good use of music in worship, to help musicians and congregations reach the highest standards appropriate to their circumstances, and to deepen the understanding of the nature of worship and the place of music within it.

The Music Group of St Thomas of Canterbury Church, Woodford Green, Essex - some interesting thoughts about the Music Ministry - also see how somebody else organises their music and its preparation.

Galloway Diocese Music Core Group were formed as a result of a music ministry day held at Smithstone House in September 1999, and our aim is to act as a liaison and focus for music in the diocese.

The Society of St Gregory: The SSG is the national society for liturgy and music in the Roman Catholic Church in the British Isles. It was founded in 1929, continues to flourish and is delighted to welcome Christians of any denomination who seek to achieve similar aims through liturgy, music and the arts.
