The Forth in Praise Organists' Blog

The personal views of a Catholic parish organist

Some Forth in Praise Christmas music is now offered on our Publications page.

The psalm for Midnight Mass was first issued a couple of years ago, and became one of our best-sellers. However, some people felt the last bit was too high for their cantors, so that part has been changed slightly in the new edition.

It is the only change, and I’d be happy to email a PDF of the new final page to anyone who bought the original version. Let me know if you would like this.

The book of easy carols would be good for trainee organists (I have a few in mind!) or even children playing on a keyboard at home.

And, just for luck, I’ve thrown in a link to those of my own easy organ voluntaries which are commercially published. Well, why not? For beginners, or people like me who don’t like too much organ-slog, I’d recommend ‘Eucharistic Reflections’ and the ‘Orkney Suite’. They are really easy, and can be bought online.
